Beach Rescue Project

You already know that volunteering a couple hours on the weekend to help clean up your community and local beaches can lead to feelings of elation, happiness, general do-gooder-ness, and can help stave away the pasty color your skin turned over winter, but the wine and environment aficionados at Barefoot and the Surfrider Foundation have devised a recipe to make volunteering even more rewarding: Mix equal parts volunteers, wine and great tunes by Mason Jennings, and you end up with the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Event this weekend at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach.

Pitch in to help dejunk the sands, and be rewarded with drinks, snacks and a Mason Jennings show at the new Shorebreak Hotel.

Cleanup from 9-11am.; celebration 6-8pm. To attend this event, you must RSVP at the Barefoot events website here, or go to: http://republic.barefootwine.com/events.
