Switching to Cement Logs Can Earn You Money

Did you know that residential wood burning contributes more fine particle pollution to Southern California's air than all the power plants in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties combined?

The South Coast Air Quality Management District is currently offering a program through HealthyHearths.org that aims to reduce air pollution from wood smoke by offering a $125 rebate to homeowners who convert their wood-burning fireplaces to gas. Simply visit the website, and select the "Gas Log Incentives" link under the "Healthy Hearths" logo for more information.

Check out the video below for more information on the adverse health affects produced by wood burning fireplaces, and see what you can do to to significantly reduce the levels of pollution produced in your own home.
