Make every drop count. When running the faucet to wait for the water to heat up, fill a container with the running water and use it for watering plants or feeding pets.
Also, if you have a water bottle or glass of water that isn't completely empty but you have finished drinking, use the leftover water for plants and pets as well.
This way, you don't waste water and keep the plants and pets happy.
